I've actually been interested in trying out a serum for a while now, but never got around to researching and purchasing one. I've heard great things about serums in general because they are supposed to help your moisturizer absorb more deeply into your face, so that your face retains more moisturizer product. I've been using the serum underneath my moisturizer for three nights now, and I've found that it does not leave my skin an oily residue when I wake up or even throughout the day. My skin is slightly more noticeably moisturized, but testing it over a longer period will let me know if this product really helps. So far, no complaints!
I use two to three drops of this size and apply this all over my face after cleansing and toning, and before moisturizing.
The next product I reviewed was the Vitamin C Facial Toner. The only toner I've tried is the Lush Tea Tree Water, and this was different in its strong citrus scent. I went ahead and cleansed my face as usual, then spritzed this toner over my face and used a cotton square to remove any residue my cleanser did not pick up. I was quite pleased that the toner did pick up whatever my cleanser did not pick up. The scent is a light citrus scent, but not something I prefer. The bottle spritzer nozzle is strange to me. I don't know if it is defective or if this is the design, but I feel that the product gets sprayed out like the outline of a circle, but I do not feel product coming from the center. Other than that, I've used the product twice and have been satisfied with its results.
The last product I'll review is the Youth Express Eye Gel. I've only ever used Yes to Carrots' Cucumber Eye Gel, so I can only compare to that. And I may like this one more. It does not have a scent, and is a slightly heavy clear gel that absorbs into your skin after twenty minutes or so. It feels tacky even after absorption, so if you plan to use this under your makeup, just apply a smaller amount than what you would usually do at night. The only thing I miss from the Yes to Carrots eye gel is the subtle cucumber scent, but I can live without it. I've only used this product for three nights and three days, so I can't say it has done anything miraculous for my designer eye bags, but they do stay moisturized, which is important when I want to have a smooth application for my concealer.
